Outreach; Knit, Purl Pray; and Global Missions are working with Nancee Cekuta to collect SETS of hats, scarves, and mittens for the elementary school children of Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota. We’d love to have handmade items, but store bought are just as welcome. These do not have to be wool, but Mother Lauren does request that they be a tight knit or weave to keep the children as warm as possible. We’d like to present entire sets, so if you only are able to turn in one part, please also leave enough yarn to complete the set. Please pin each set together with a note telling what size (5 – 7, 8 – 10, 10 – 12) and leave in the box in the old narthex by Oct. 26. As a point of interest, tribal colors are red, black, white, & yellow. Any questions? Call or email Judy Leavell, 770-363-3919, email@example.com. Donations of money are also welcome! Thanks for caring for God’s Children!
The building is located at 55 Grayson Industrial Parkway in Grayson. The expectation of a debt free permanent home for the Co-op brings forth a profound vision of future opportunities for local ministry through the Body of Christ in south Gwinnett county. Please visit our ongoing Finally Home Building Campaign to see our progress and your opportunity to participate.
A 15,000 sq ft facility, sitting on over 2 acres of property, tucked away in a quiet corner of Grayson. This building will become our permanent home. Several large donations of building supplies and equipment have been received, including A/C equipment, sheetrock and wall studs, lighting, and ceiling tiles. Construction has begun on the property and is expected to take approximately 10 weeks to complete. An anticipated move in date has been set for mid April.
The Cooperative is asking for folks to VOLUNTEER ONLINE for the areas that they would like to serve during the renovation. Once the project timeline is completed we will post specific jobs, dates and times for you to sign up.
