Rosebud Warmth

Outreach; Knit, Purl Pray; and Global Missions are working with Nancee Cekuta to collect SETS of hats, scarves, and mittens for the elementary school children of Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota. We’d love to have handmade items, but store bought are just as welcome.  These do not have to be wool, but Mother Lauren does request that they be a tight knit or weave to keep the children as warm as possible.  We’d like to present entire sets, so if you only are able to turn in one part, please also leave enough yarn to complete the set.  Please pin each set together with a note telling what size (5 – 7, 8 – 10, 10 – 12) and leave in the box in the old narthex by Oct. 26.  As a point of interest, tribal colors are red, black, white, & yellow.  Any questions?  Call or email Judy Leavell, 770-363-3919, judyleavell@rocketmail.com.  Donations of money are also welcome!  Thanks for caring for God’s Children!
